I feel that way about Eternals and Shang-Chi. Now, I'm not saying that I didn't like the movies. Shang-Chi in particular was really good. I just think that they didn't seem to fit the MCU mould.
Finally watched this too, and it feels like it was just shoe-horned into the MCU for some other purpose. Sort of like Justice League (the original release, not Snyder Cut) where you were just expected to know who all these characters were with no backstory. I'm guessing huge chunks were cut from the movie/script and still it ended up being 2.5hr...
We felt the same, that The Eternals especially didn't feel like an MCU movie. I can see that too a bit with Shang-Chi now that you mention it. Now, in their defence, or if I play devil's advocate, or whatever, these are part of Phase 4 MCU, so maybe they are trying to make them different? But The Eternals really has a lot of stuff to pick apart once you start. I quite liked Shang-Chi, more than I expected to anyway.I feel that way about Eternals and Shang-Chi. I don't recognize him and haven't checked for other stuff he's done. what else has he been in?I just can't get into it because of the main character I can not for the life of me take him seriously at all. I think if it was anyone else I could be its him I think its because pretty much ever other older tv series he was in was family stuff so he is type casted in my head
I concur. it doesn't feel like it belongs in the MCU and even weirder, how, due to Arishem being the creator of the 'universe', as that should make this story arc supersede everything else. but perhaps this move is the gateway to introduce arcs / movies for the Eternals? Finally watched this too, and it feels like it was just shoe-horned into the MCU for some other purpose. I suppose it was better, in that each character got a bit of a origin story and things seemed to flow better, but I'm not certain I would call it memorable either. It's pushing 4hr though, so I watched it in 2 parts.Where can you watch the Snyder cut of Justice League? I keep forgetting to look that up. And no... I don't want to torrent it![]()
Yeah ep 5 was by far the best episode by far. Loved it.10/10 episode IMO. Although tbh it wasn't a Boba Fett episode. Felt like it had everything. Action, humour, some feel good moments. Loved it.
Also been watching Hanna. Not what I was expecting tbh. But enjoying it.
