My Wife and I have been totally absorbed over the holidays by a show on crave called "My Brilliant Friend" - an adaptation of an Italian book series. I don't have as much patience for subtitles as I once did, but this show is absorbing. All the males in the story are usually despicable (par for the course these days), but the females are too and everyone is interesting and the world they live in (post-WW2 Naples) is so different that it keeps you glued.

Absolutely loving it so far. I've always been a huge fan since reading the book all those years ago. It is quite incredible how his mind created all this Sci-Fi that we now take for granted.
Also very much liking the choices for the cast on this series. THey play their parts well.

Not the ending I expected. Rather sad. But still one hell of a show.

Rewatched S1 of Arcane as 3 years is a long time between seasons. And starting season 2.

Now going through the winter king pretty much about its King Arthur, I was a little surprised it also has Nimue (pronounce Nimway) who is the lady of the lake . I am not sure if its like the version of King Arthur tale that I learned about and read in books

I haven't been in a mood to watch anything lately...been too much into reading books instead. I'm on book three of John RIngo's, 'The Old Man' series. I don't find his writing as good as Jack Campbell, but it's entertaining enough. after I've burned through these, I've got Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Time queued. :)

How is it?
We are about halfway through the season and I like it so far. It is definitely different.

It keeps slowly building the story and revealing info...wife and I keep thinking we have it figured out (only to find a little twist). Unless it takes a turn for the worse, I would say worth watching.

I will leave it at that to not make it a spoiler post.
