Yeah I'm getting a much stronger twilight vibe than a science fiction one.
 
My wife is a Star Trek fan since I introduced her to it some 20 years ago.

We'll give it a go, I'll thell you her comments once done :whistle:
 
Several things slowly and here and there:

- Finally got around to starting Reacher season 3. It's okay, not great, three episodes in. First season still the best imo.

- Watched The Night Manager season 1, pretty good! We were excited for season 2... watched season 2... absolute shite... Whoever wrote that needs some therapy or something! We were very disappointed :confused:

- Making our way through Hijack (did I say that one already?) Season 1 was very good. Season 2 good so far but not as good.

- And since my wife and daughter have never seen it, we are going through The Expanse. This is my third or fourth time I think? Every time I watch it I am impressed again. But the books are very good, one I'm reading now is awesome, so that was definitely good material for the show and they didn't screw much up!

The writing in Reacher was never good, but season 2's was junior high level writing so bad that I won't bother with S3. I get it's an 'American male power fantasy' so I shouldn't be expecting high prose, but it was dismal. Plus the action scene writing even became ludicrous. Reacher dashes into a construction yard to take cover behind heavy equipment and.... stands straight with the one part of his body exposed being his head. Plus a half-dozen or so other silly gun scenes, guy apparently fights the present equivalent of storm troopers....


I finished Fallout season 2 last night. Went through it a lot slower than S1. Can tell that budget is going to be an issue, the
NCR and legion felt pretty small other than the last scene of the legion marching to New Vegas
, but overall still enjoyed it and the pre-war scenes seemed well done and gave a good lead into a previous Fallout big bad returning.
