Thermaltake Reveals New Core W Series Cases

Nov 8, 2006

Thermaltake's Core W Series is a new mid-tower case that can be combined with a companion chassis to create a much larger enclosure.

Thermaltake have just announced two new cases that are actually the same case, plus or minus the addition of a companion case. Dubbed the W Series, this new case line consists of the Core W100 mid-tower case, the Core P100 pedestal chassis, and the Core WP100 super tower case. What makes these products really interesting is that Thermaltake have designed the Core W100 and Core P100to be able to stack together and become the Core WP100 super tower case.

This is a flexible stacking concept as Thermaltake have designed the Core P100 to fit on the top or the bottom of the Core W100. However you mix and match the pieces, the end result is still the Core WP100, a huge case that supports SSI MEB, XL-ATX, E-ATX, ATX, Micro ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. It can handle up to 10 expansion slots, more than twenty HDD, graphics cards up to 635mm in length, and even tower CPU coolers as high as 200mm. Needless to say that it also has room for vast amounts of liquid cooling hardware. The front of the W100 can hold a 420mm radiator, or a 600mm radiator when in stacked configuration. Four 480mm to 600mm radiators can be installed in the P100 pedestal chassis, along with almost two dozens 120 to 200mm fans.

Continuing the transformers theme, both the Core W100 and Core P100 feature a dismantlable modular design (DMD), which means that you can fully tear them apart and rebuild them your own unique specifications. Check out the video below to fully appreciate how creative you can get with insides and outsides of this new case series:

Product Press Release:

Thermaltake, an industry leader in computer chassis, thermal solutions, and power supply units, has announced at CES 2016 the latest TT Premium product line which follows the core values of Excellent Quality, Unique Design, Diverse Combinations and Boundless Creativity. Under this product line, Thermaltake presents the new Core W Series – Core W100 and Core WP100 super tower chassis with the Core P100 pedestal chassis – to deliver versatility in different superior looks.

Being as the first chassis with full assembly concept, the Core W Series is the great new challenges for makers to start from zero and experience the true “DIY” by putting every piece together to complete a high-end system. And the Core W100/Core WP100 is the one and only chassis able to house more than 20 HDD cages and up to 10 expansion slots, which can be served as another workstation in the industrial field. With its unprecedented space for high-end hardware and liquid cooling expansion, the Core W100/WP100 supports the latest XL-ATX, E-ATX, ATX, Micro ATX, Mini-ITX motherboards, and also SSI MEB. All standard equipment of the chassis is included, what makers need to purchase is custom liquid cooling components ones need for building up aesthetically-superior water cooling systems by incorporating externally-modular upgrades for their chassis.

The Core WP100 and Core W100 are available at USA (Newegg), Germany (Alternate), United Kingdom (SCAN), Australia & New Zealand (mWave) and TT Premium.
