I bought an external 5.25 bay and it gets pulled out of a drawer on very rare occasions. I don't really miss them anymore.

I use an ASUS BluRay drive to rip all of my BluRay purchases for my KODI media server. I've considered doing like you said and getting an external drive cage to put on my desk. I guess I'm just in the very minority of users that still have need of physical media.

Another day, another useless vertical GPU position.
Pssst, case makers! Pressing the fans of a GPU up against a piece glass absolutely ruins it's temps. Space the glass properly, let us swap the vertical and horizontal PCI slots, or just don't bother including it. 👍

Yeah the whole vertical things need the be rethought a bit. It is more feeling like it is a checkbox inna list to check of than actual thought and design.

Some of them if you had a sound card or anything else would be impossible to mount with the GPU in the vertical position making the rest of your motherboard useless.

Then no one ever includes the cable or the mount to actually use it. Since when did computer cases really need DLC.
