This is one of the reasons I won't be buying an Intel for my next build.

I wish they all would just slow down the cycle. Maybe to a 2 year cycle instead of yearly. That would also force game and software developers to actually put some work in optimizinf instead of replying on more power every year.

not every microcode/AGESA update reduces CPU performance some are to fix bugs and some are to improve performance, like allowing chips to use faster RAM/storage and many other improvements or things of this nature.

Wow this just keeps getting bigger. The more companies that open up, the more that companies are willing to open up.

Alderon Games is reporting 100% of their Intel chips eventually have crashes in their use cases. They have experienced degradation over time. Some crashes result in corrupt SSDs and memory. End result is that they are switching all servers to AMD, and are adding an in game notification in the game Path of Titans to alert users of raptor lake chips of the potential issues it causes.

They are reporting 100times fewer crashes with the AMD CPUs.
