It's not clear if the purpose of that is electrical, or if it's a data integrity thing. (My network positioning would work for this as I could easily ground to either the opnsense box (presumably for data integrity) or the copper water supply line.

If they are both addressable RGB, then yes. All PCs use the same ARGB LEDs, WS2811s. But generally the ones on GPUs have a different connector, which would be a problem.

Never. I've also never seen any equipment have it connected at any of the businesses we do networking for.

It may matter in a "ground" or "earth" potential rise event.

It might not be an issue in your location unless you have a lightning strike nearby.

anyone know how wed make connections between a PC/Nas i have 2 network cards both duel 10gb ports, i never understood the process of how wed map a network drive with them. would we just use the go to network/find server connect or is there software id need to use to map a drive with but using the linked cards for better transfer speeds?

@Shadowarez assign static IP addresses for each PCs 10Gbe port, then connect them directly (many can auto sense and therefore don't need a crossover -type cable). Then from PC1 map a network drive based off of the IP address of PC2 and vice versa.

literally just figured that out lol googling like mad then found that made sense connect via the ip from the port makes so much more sense. thank you ill have to keep this in the notes would help when transferring huge files over.
