Zen 3 and copying an Epyc tactic in that there are two series within them. one with 64 PCIe 4.0 lanes and another with 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes. on top of that, 8 channel memory support. SO MUCH BANDWIDTH!!!
this is also a sign of how awesome the Zen 3 Epyc processors are gonna be. you could only get 128 PCIe 3.0 lanes if you had a dual CPU config. with a single Tr CPU having up to 128 lanes, what will we get with Epyc? 128 and 256? wOOt!
edit - info leaked from the recent Gigabyte hack shows that the Zen 4 based Genoa Epyc processor is gonna be..well, epic.
