fast. very fast. hot. very hot. and expensive...very expensive.

The only thing i found confusing about the 7980X review was this:

"We are conducting an analysis of two 7000 series generation Ryzen CPUs. Intel supplied these processors for our review. For the tests, we utilized an ASUS TRX50 motherboard coupled with G.Skill DIMMs, configured at 4x16GB 6400 MHz."

seems a bit odd for a competitor would supply a fellow competitors product for review...but I've seen this happen before, it's just not terribly common.

GN review. They never really had heat issues. And despite the high power, its the most efficient CPU they have ever tested.

these aren't gaming CPU? what? that's what HEDT is supposed to be about. I get them giving that advice though as it's AMD that messed up.
It's considered a HEDT option. Just that nowadays that means 2000+ versus the 1000+ it used to be. Welcome to inflation.
