Threadripper Pro 9995WX heat spreader converted to waterblock

VCZ article reposting a Geekerwan experiment where they machined the CPU heat spreader into a waterblock. In their test, the CPU remained at 52C at 1500W, however, they were using an industrial chiller and a 140L res.

Ya I read this yesterday, very cool, but a crap load of work, I think they had to kill a bunch of 1900 threadripper chip IHS to get a better idea of what they had to do for the 9950wx, max overclock draw was around 1700watts, Wow.

Pretty sure the temp they started the OC tests was around 10 °C, it's all about the chiller. still they were able to drop almost 5c, I think, with their wave design in the IHS
