Tips for Saving Money on Shipping Costs

Yeah! But unfortunately the POS can be operate only by one moral person.
Solution? A co-op is legally a moral person, so we can start a consumer-coop.
Problem? You have to ship the stuff to the coop, then re-shipped it at lower cost, hehe

All I use now is EST also. I do have a Venture One account also, I thought they were one and the same. This is the way to ship for me.

Does anyone have any tips on shipping Ebay items(need to be signed for??) to Britain at a reasonable price? The items will be in the $100.00-$400.00 range and item size will be slightly smaller than a loaf of bread.

TIA

Same thing: Venture One account which gives you access to international shipping options. When shipping to the UK, Canada Post is always a good option since it gets handed over to Royal Mail once it reaches there.

Just to show the power of the CP Venture card, this is my example from this afternoon.

I was sending a water block to BC from NS.

when they weighed and measured it, it cost $13 regular parcel (7days) and $22 Xpresspost (2days)
Regular Parcel does not have a tracking number, Xpresspost does.

When they swiped my card, it came to $7.87, and $9.05 with taxes.
It was sent expedited, and will be there in two days, and has the default $100 insurance - and has tracking number / delivery confirmation.

My client gets their package fast, and I save a lot of money on shipping, a no brainer for a free card.

Cheers.

FedEx ground can be very competitively priced. Although there may be the odd hiccup with fedEx ground's methods/terms, they are worth looking into. I was able to ship for only a couple bucks more than CanadaPost venture and it's 3 business days shipping.

Worth checking out. I haven't had a chance to log in and see what prices I can get, but I'll let you know once I sign up with them and check out pricing.

**Costco membership url, for discounts on shipping by being a costco member.

Edit: one of those sites (like FedEx) that seem to be impossible to sign up for because it requires you to enter your credit card and billing info exact, but then still tells you it's wrong.. lolz.
