So I finally got my 2nd Titan up and running first was Asus TX it was running comfortably at 50-65 load after few hours of Ark but since I move it down to 3rd pcie it's shot up to 80-98c that's at 100% fan speed too.

The other Titan is a EVGA Titan X SC with Hybrid cooler it's running bout 45-60 load I even put a noctua 120 fan to try exhaust some of that silly heat.

I ordered a ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV cooler was wondering what tools will I need to remove stock cooler and if I can find such tools at local hardware store or should I look to Amazon.

Also wondering if been reading reviews it seems ppl have been killing there GPUs trying to install this cooler is it really that finiky to install or are they just unlucky that there GPUs died after installing this? The house being killed were 290x and GPUs.

best way dremel the original gpu heat spreader spot

cut out where gpu is and leave the ram alone adding a corsair h90 to gpu

remove heatsink cut and wash it before installing back to remove filings

and use new thermal pads

Why not try and get more cooler air on the cards instead of trying to exhaust it?

i have the rig near the window, like right against the open window, the h240x has 2 noctua 120s pulling cold air in through rad and a 120 industrial noctua blowing that cold air over the vrms, cpu and first titan, the other titan is in 3rd pcie slot but its temps jumped like 20 c i have a noctua 120 fan pulling the hot air awaya from the front of the card dropped temps by about 8 c but still gets really warm, why i ordered that arctic accelero gpu cooler to help even more, the hybrid is running bout 60 on load, if that

Lol maybe that will be the route if I end up killing a Titan by changing its stock cooler I'll have to learn the hard way not to touch that till I go full water cooling.
