Toronto Maple Leafs...

Habs fan chiming in here, as I know all the Leafs' fans were waiting for my opinion /sarcasm.

Not sure what its like out in BC Dwayne, but one odd thing I have noticed here since I moved to the Toronto area is that there is a large proportion of Leafs fans, media, etc. that get way too hyped up about the Leafs when they experience a little success, and tend to get into bashing other teams...it IS possible for other teams to be good, even if the Leafs are playing well. Not sure why cheering for your team requires bashing the others. Its a weird, and sad, thing to see actually.

I would still be surprised though if the Leafs did not make the playoffs. I doubt they will keep giving up all the shots they have been, and I think players such as Clarkson will turn it around. Long season yet. They are in no way an elite team, but anybody with timely scoring and good goaltending can go on a playoff run...

I will say that I am not a fan of the Toronto media, not at all. For the most part I want my media to be supportive of the team and realistic. You have both extremes there, morons that tear the team down all the time, and others that are euphorically optimistic when they win!

As for the team right now, they are so inconsistent it makes me wonder if they need a shrink in the room! The game tonight was 100% turn around from the St. Louis game, and more in line of the LA game. I think if they could keep the good games in mind they will be fine and make the playoffs again. Just have to hold the stick, not grip them like death!
 
Wow, 7-1 and 50 shots (against) on goal. What goes through a Leaf fans' brain? Seriously? I don't get it. Do they love Rogers that much?
 
Leafs are starting to play a bit better the game on Saturday was great and loved seeing the life in the Leafs (thanks PK)!

I hope they keep it going nice to be back in the playoff hunt again and only 4 points behind the Habs!

I must say this year seems brutal for all the big time Injuries that teams are having (or am I just not remembering past years?)

Would love to see Leafs vs Habs in the playoffs that would be great hockey!

I would love to c those teams go at it. I would rather c them against each other for the cup, but impossible with the both being in the same conf.

When it gets to the playoffs, I go for any Canadian team left. Would be nice to c a Canadian based team win it though.

Still think we need a few more tweaks, or fine tuning so to speak, for both the habs and leafs.

Another cpl of guys like DB would make an awesome addition. Can hardly wait to c him back with the team, though it looks like rehab is still slow.

Hey, does anyone know how/where to stream the Leafs pre-season games? I just found out NHL Game Center Live doesn't have the preseason games.
