Toronto Maple Leafs...

After watching the Laffs fall flat on their faces too many times I decided to start watching my NHL team again, the Canadiens.

Too many reasons not to be a Leafs fan. Money is the bottom line here, hockey isn't top priority imho.

No big time players want to go to that cesspool of hockey experts just to be chastised for being human.

Imho when they hired BB instead of the MAN, Scotty Bowman, who wanted complete control of hockey

ops, funny, same thing as BB, that told me where their loyalties lie. $$$$$

Right now the Laffs would be a contender. BB did a lot of what had to be done, clean out the riff raff,...

So when they didn't hire SB it told me they don't care about winning, just making money.

Until there's a revolt or mass exodus, imho, things won't change there.

Funny how the richest team in the league can keep putting out those results and never seem to get it right ( could it be intentional), yet people are still following them.

They're the richest yet put out such crap!!!

If they make the playoffs, lol, I might cheer for them during their games being a Canadian team...

Oh, and so much for M Frattin 2.0...
Money is a bottom line for all the teams including the Canadiens but the Leafs are probably the greediest of them all - if that's possible. They sure are the most indifferent as they know profit/money is rolling in no matter how the team does on the ice. I truly believe some organizations will 'tank' in order for the future returns to be an improved hockey club, a contender and perhaps winning a championship. The organization might be a bit less inept than the Leafs, too, of course.

Have you ever checked out ticket prices? It's insane. Being bored, I clicked an online ticket site. You could fly to California or Florida or Dallas and watch the Leafs play the home teams there for as low as $20 to $40. You can pay 10 times as much or more to watch them in the ACC. It's mind boggling why fans continue to support this theft. I dropped my support long ago and have no regrets. :)

I'd say the only untouchable on the roster is no one. But with our luck we'd have the Marlies make a run for it and still end up at 10th in the East anyway. :/

So you're allowed to throw hats, even octopei onto the ice. But not jerseys lol.

Celebrations are ok. Celebrating how BAD a team is....is not OK apparently.

I hate the lafs with the best of them, but there is a difference, even if I think it is ironic: One is a hazard to the players because it occurs DURING action. The other dont.

*NOTE* This coming from the league where you can try to kill people by checking them from behind, into corners/glass, beat each other with your fists, jump on players backs and break their necks, and generally cause as much damage as possible both in and outside the rules.

Right. But **** no, dont throw that jersey on the ice! Someone might slip and fall!

Between that garbage, and inconsistent rules enforcement/fines from league office I'm surprised anyone is still watching this sport at the national level. I stopped long ago, and cant say I miss it. You can get better entertainment supporting your local OHL/AAA league. But hey, thats just my opinion.
