I can only assume it's a "bug" in the most recent update of that plugin. Any comments on the plugin's dev page?

Nope, nothing. Weird thing is the plugin has not been updated in a long while.

I apologize in advance if you already tried this before disabling it but a CSS tweak of max height and overflow might be enough so that you don't need to outright disable it at least until it is patched fully.
