I have had a few questions bouncing around inside my head for a while now but I didn't want to start a seperate thread for each of them. So this seemed like a good idea. anyways here goes my questions.

Which one of these sayings is right : Feed a Fever Starve a cold or Feed a Cold Starve a Fever? And would either work?

Am I the only person that hates Shaw commercials? They are getting bad to the point where whenever I see one I feel the rational part of my mind die a little because I KNOW someone actually got paid to write it....

I am getting sick of can opener bending funny on me and then they just stop working... What kind of Can Opener would you guys reccomend for someone who breaks them like me?

I am going to be getting married in 9 days now and I would like to convince my wife to let me get a PS3 after the wedding sometime. I would like some ideas on how to convince her that a PS3 is something I should have.

Ok thats all I can think of for now if I could I would put a sticky on this thread So me or anyone else with more random questions can use it. Oh well thanks for opinions everyone.

Try the old style (non rotating gear) with a knife edge you puncture the top of the can with. They don't rotate around, but instead hook under the lip allowing you to lift up to open the lid. (Same design as the ones on swiss army knives, but larger)

Tell her it'll keep you in the house???? Buy DDR with it and tell her it's an exercise regime? :)

I am not smoking or ingesting anything right now... I will be heading up to Penticton on Sat so all bets regarding smoking are off at that point. And I am an introvert anyways so I tend to stay in the house more often than not anyways. I am thinking about trying to play the blu-ray card and telling her its the best and cheapest blu-ray player out there right now.

ok gf for ps3

1) tell her its a status symbol
2) tell her that she dont need the headache routine, just a cue word, not tonite .. ps3 yourself.. etc
3) blueray movies and chick flicks.. promise here magnolias or something
4) dishes and housework.. or clean the toilet.. sacrifices, sacrifices..
5) flatter her .. say that the ps3 is nothing compared to her, but u like the best of both worlds...

or be honest.. just say you would like it for some down time, when the day is hard and after an hour your will go out with her,,, and share quality time.

The addage is "feed a cold, starve a fever." It makes sense if you think about having the flu vs. a cold. A flu is an intense reaction that takes a lot of metabolic activity. Digestion is a demanding task. As a Fever is usually short lived (1-3 days), not eating may be a better way of allowing your body to contribute the maximum amount of metabolic activity to recovery. If the fever lasts longer, then maintaining adequate available energy may becomes a problem. Natural doctors recommend diluted vegetable (preferred) or fruit juice (unsweetened) for energy during an illness.

Like this thread heh. For PS3, I just told my gf that we could watch blu ray movies and she was ok with it. Just describe the benefits to HER. If that doesnt work tell her she can buy something that she wants of equivalent value. Women love shopping and if your ps3 means loads of useless crap for her to buy she will be happy.

Can opener.. just buy a good one and it will last.

Shaw commercials - I dont even recall any so they obviously have no effect on me.

bah just tell her the crispness and sharpness of porn on a 52" lcd with blueray makes you feel like your part of the action.
