USB 3.1 Type E uses?

My x570 has a USB 3.1 type E port, which I understand is typically used for newer cases front panel connectors. My case (Define C) has the 'older' style 3.0 connector (the blue one).

Is there another use I can apply to this? FD Doesnt make an upgraded front panel for the Define C, I checked, and this seems like a waste of good high speed data ports. I found a couple 3.5' bay kits that would be cool, but arnt an option. Ideally I guess have to use a PCI slot at the back.

Has anyone looked in to this before?

Yeah, I saw a couple of those single slot device ones. Was kinda hoping for a 'more port' option.

I have quite a few C devices; Power banks, Nintendo Switch, and one external storage device.

The rumour is that all of the next gen phones will be C due to the EU rule changes. I hope this is true.
