Is it as simple to change from English to French as the online guides make it look?

Looks like it's just a simple change in the regional settings.

Wasn't quite as simple as changing the regional settings but it wasn't all that hard to do.

The regional/language settings changed the program/app names but didn't change the system dialogue language. That required installing the language pack from control panel (the same option might be available from the regional settings area, but I did it from control panel).

So you can chalk up another "win" for Windows 10. Pretty sure you had to do a complete re-install of windows 7 to change the default language.
