Hi, I am wondering if there is any specific dates for the release of the i9 9900ks 9 on October? Also would there be any matching problems on motherboards I already have? How much w of power supply do I need?

it will work on any Z390 mobo, but you likely need to flash to the latest BIOS revision for support. for PSU, a lot will depend on the rest of your system, particularly GPU and what it requires. I would say you'd probably want at least a 750w PSU though. I won't be surprised if this need 200 - 250w on full turbo, and if you have a 1080 Ti or 2080 Ti, that's another 300w+ right there.

It might actually not be, I would wait to see what the 9900KS actually needs.

My guess is 400w just for the CPU alone, maybe more, if they are really going to hit 5GHZ all cores under full load.

There is no way. Most coolers are only designed for ~100w thermal dissipation, give or take.

Heck, even 240mm watercooling systems are usually in the neighbourhood of ~400w for CPU+GPU, according to EK.

A normal 9900k is in the neighbourhood of like 220w @5ghz with an all core of like 3.6. If this is at 5ghz all, its going to be insane..

That does sound insane. Just wondering would it cost more than 600$ American dollar? Just asking for a prediction...

Actually that was about my guess. $549 USD +-, around 25% more than a stock
