Try " Ccleaner " Its a program that cleans your history an cookies . The last screen is flag fore drivers and programs that need updating . You only need the free option to flag bugs . The payed version auto updates your bugs . :)

Well, I got the artifacting issue resolved. Looks like onedrive saves the settings folder, and then uses that when you reinstall. I did a reset tab on the video and been fine since.

That makes me happier, love playing Zombies.

I finished watching the movie while playing zombies and it played much better than when playing Warships.

Guess just a hardware limitation.

I've updated the chipset driver and run Windows updates. Unfortunately my issue isn't resolved yet. Not sure where to go from here other than a CPU swap, which I'm just not going to have time for any time soon.

Reinstalled COD Zombies and played way too late last night without issues. Made my personal best to level 14 by myself, so the tiredness today was worth it. :)

Guess either go with a cpu with more cores or don't play Warships and plex at the same time..

So you moved back to a 9900x and all is well?

I've been having stuttering issues in a variety of games and I'm wondering about core count as well. I'm a heavy multitasker and I tend to leave a lot on the go on one desktop, then Win+Tab over to a second desktop for gaming. I wonder if I'm just hitting performance limitations for multithreading on the 9800X3D?

If I went with a 9900X3D/9950X3D, I wonder what gaming performance would look like? Would all the general multithreading work be bumped to the non-X3D CCD while games launched and used 3D cache? Or does one CCD shut down entirely when a game launches and I'm left in the same boat?

*EDIT* Also, did you reinstall Windows when swapping down to the 9900x from an X3D?

lol I had such a hard time ordering the 9900x from amazon, my cc kept declining due to potential.. fraud?? Ended up successfully ordering a 9950x (should be here today)

To my knowledge the 2nd ccd is supposed to shut off on the x3d (not sure about the non x3d chips) when gaming, so I'd assume that'd leave it in the same boat.

I remember watching a video on the 9800x3d and they mentioned if moving to a non-x3d from a x3d chip that you'd need to reinstall windows due to some drivers that get installed that can't be uninstalled. I don't remember what video it was or ever heard of that elsewhere to confirm.

I do quite enjoy watching plex or sportsnet hockey when playing Warships, so if the 9950x resolves the stuttering I'll stick with it and sell the 9800x3d cheap-ish. There was an uplift going from the 9900x to the 9800x3d, modest gains for the most part, Indiana Jones had a pretty sizeable uplift in FPS though, but I finished that a while ago now. For my use case, I think the better multitasking of the 9950x will be more beneficial to me.

Since I moved from the 9900x to the 9800x3d I've been noticing a couple "odd" things. Late last week I did a fresh install of Windows 11 to see if it would help with my COD DMZ crashes.

Since the Windows reinstall COD Blackops zombies gives me some artifacting ie the health meter will disappear or everything will disappear on the mini map or the whole screen will take on a brownish color and then the grass will slowly come back in blotches. Before the reinstall, Zombies was flawless.

COD DMZ, well... DMZ I've always had issues with crashes (directx) regardless of the build, guess can ignore this as it's just the default and isn't specific to this build (but if someone has any ideas, that'd be SWEET) Well, crashes do seem to be a little more, maybe once an hour. CPU and GPU temps appear fine. (CPU 55ish GPU 55-60ish)

Prior to the 9800x3d when playing world of war ships, I'd play the game and run plex flawlessly on the second monitor. Since changing from the 9900x to the 9800x3d Warships plays fine, but plex will consistently stutter. Even with the i7 it was perfectly fine. Both monitors are connected to the 4080, was thinking of running the 2nd monitor off of the integrated video. GPU though is at max 92% usage and 55-60C temp and CPU is under 50% and 50ish for temp.

Windows is fully patched, bios is up to date, did a bios reset last night, newest chipset driver from AMD. It's odd, I did a full uninstall and tried to install the chipset drivers from Asus. but it hangs on the determining specs page. Newest driver from Nvidia.

There is no overclocking (that I'm aware of) except for the ram, I did disable xmp to take that out of the equation, the system is set to "normal" in the bios and no overclocking on the GPU.

Any ideas or direction will be greatly appreciated
