discussion what are these and which one do i use

gotta Asus router returned it due to the setup i use xfinity ( comcast) before it would let me continue it wanted to know my connection.....pppope static ip, dynamic ip dhcp and others i cant remember now i use the basic cable in my house black wire with my cat 6 plug. anyone know what i was supposed to choose?

Unless your on a business connection your ISP almost never gives you a static ip. Dynamic DHCP covers almost all standard residential users.

Instead of returning could have firmware reset
