I tried it a while ago couldnt get into GOW
Same. I found it too linear, so it has less replay value for me. I prefer a more open world or full open world where you can replay games with different approaches and strategies. The Uncharted series (PlayStation 3) had the same linear gameplay, with press this, press that, do this, instead of allowing the user to fully play the game in a variety of ways. Essentially the replay value is from increasing the difficulty level & trying different combos.

TBH I don't always think open world is good. Makes travelling so much more tedious and lots of time its just empty.

But that's the quality time when you're supposed to be collecting mats and creating new potions to increase your alchemy skills.... :)

(How else do you end up with 1000+ hrs on a game??? ;) ).

Solasta: Crown of the Magister on sale at GOG for 15.00. It's based on current DnD rules with turn based combat. I figured while waiting for Baldur's Gate 3 (August) it might broaden my knowledge/experience of DnD.

Never heard of the game before, just happened across someone playing the latest DLC on Youtube. Finding it better than expected. Combat is grid based (square). Looks like it will have good replay value (like BG3) in the variation of races & classes and character set up. Probably will get the DLC once I've done a couple of playthroughs.

My son asked what StarCraft was…it has been a long time, and I am apparently nowhere near as good anymore.
