As I recall, some of the reviews for F76 were not good which is why I never bothered with it. Then, I think Bethesda added subscription fees, which made it even less interesting. Maybe that's changed, but then Microsoft bought out Bethesda.
I cant confirm first hand, but do have second hand reports from friends that FO76 is in a very good state now. A quick look at steam has a 'mostly positive' review score now too.

I think it was prey to the usual AAA modern game release model of 'release in alpha status, take money, deal with issues later'.

Initial reviews were dismal. There's been a lot defenders saying how much better it got since release and it was included on Games for Windows so I thought I'd give it a try.

What I've heard is that it may not be bad now, but is still a pretty big departure from what tradition FO fans were looking for. So people without a FO history seem to be more forgiving of it than people who were hoping for a FO 5 or whatever type sequel. 🤷‍♂️

Nintendo gets a lot of grief online, particularly from the PC crowd it seems, but that's something that keeps me a fan. There hasn't been a first party Nintendo game I can think of that really had major bugs or issues at release.

Sure there might be some glitches, particularly with 'breakable' games like BOTW, but generally you could play on day 1 and have no major issues or hiccups from start to finish.

Yeah, as a Ninty Switch owner I agree fully with you. I actually think Nintendo does checks on (all?) games sold on their platform for QC.

PC players may rip on their closed ecosystem, but much like my apple phone, it just works and you know the bar is set at 'totally working'.

Finally added Enshrouded to my collection in its current sale. A bit pricey, $32, but it so far has been very polished for Early Access. I also watched and read several things about it so didn't go in completely blind.

I haven't done tonnes yet but so far I am quite enjoying it (y) Really like the setting and the story idea that goes along with the crafting/building/survival stuff.

I was going to post some screenshots but I'm running HDR so they look terrible.

I have been a little bored with the games I have lately so I tried Warframe which I was supposed seems like fun played it a couple of hours last nigh and no have Idea of 99% of the things like items and building making things also the keys used are not what I like and I am not sure if they can actually be changed, but I am just running around pretty much killing things I have a feeling though that this free game may have some type of catch has anyone else played this free game I would imagine so because apparently it has been around for about a decade?

Haven't played it, but IIRC Warframe was pretty famous for being the F2P game that didn't really morph to P2W. The only thing that was supposed to be gated was some cosmetics, with no substantial content gated.

It may have changed since I read up on it, but it was supposed to only have had a 'pay to accelerate' or 'pay to skip' instead of outright P2W. Was sustained mostly because players loved the game.

I know they've done a lot of expansions since I last read up on it, so take my comments with a dated grain of salt.

not a game exactly...but I installed RealFlight Trainer for RC aircraft on my PC for the grandbrat. I insisted, to much protest, that he watch all the training videos and then complete the beginner flying course before flying...and now he doing freeflight. :D
