Haven't played the remaster, but the orginal was a lot of fun, the time mechanic I'm a bit mixed on, but the combo weapons and the 'photographs' for xp mechanisms were very unique and if you get to the optional 'expanded' days the plot's actually pretty decent. Well worth a try.

I did hear they changed the voice actor, which is a shame as the original guy really nailed Frank West, not that I've heard anything on if the new guy is better or not.

Thank you.

Thank you.
No prob, hope you enjoy it.

The game's learning curve can be a little steep, and it doesn't necessarily explain which quests/survivors you should focus on at times, if it feels like you're missing a lot on the 2nd/3rd day, don't feel bad about looking at a guide.

There's a pretty fun reward for getting the zombie genocider trophy which can only really be done one way in an effective time period (or at least in the original). It's worth looking at the method as you'll struggle to get it otherwise.

Playing Jedi Survivor.... or trying to. Even with a 4090 the PC port is dismal. Stutters, crashes and fps drops in seemingly simple locations with no rhyme or reason. Tried some mods, tried some INI edits.

This has got to be the worst port I've had in the last 10 years. I can't think of anything that was this unplayable a year and a half after it came out.

Think I'll try dropping to 1080, no RT and see how that works next. Otherwise I'm giving it up. Shame as it's a really fun game when it's working.

That seems odd. I know there were issues at launch but I didn't see any of what you're describing on my system. I didn't have RT on, but I did play it through, the whole storyline anyway not all side quests, at 4K.

Following the reddit (and after asking for help there) it seems like it's pretty common still unfortunately. Dropping to basically 'medium' settings with no RT at 2560x1440 helped, but didn't cure it.

Grabbed a few 'fixes' off Nexus and will try with them later. I have noticed the DLSS3 implementation is pretty glitchy too. Lots of artifacts or ghosting around text and Cal's arms. It's to be expected with DLSS, but it's definitely not the best implementation.

Is this game falling victim to the recent NVIDIA driver issues now I wonder?

Going from the reddit discussions (and stream reviews), seems like it's longstanding. I've rolled back my drivers so I shouldn't be having issues from the current batch (waiting till nvidia releases a version that isn't breaking PCs....)

Played about a half hour of 'Clair Obscure: Expedition 33' last night. Seems pretty interesting. A French dev modern JRPG. Has a FF/Persona battle system (and very much adopting the 'flashiness' of Persona 5 in the battle system).

The visuals are very French. Not in a bad or good way (though it's visually gorgeous , reminiscent of Bioshock infinite with the wackiness down and the French up). You know when you see a clip of a movie and a guy looks longingly into the distance and you think "That's got to be a French art movie", somehow it has that same mental recognition when you load it up that 'this has to be French'.

I don't know if I'll play much of it over the weekend, but there's some definite potential there. Voice acting has Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Jennifer English (Shadowheart from BGIII) so it's been strong so far.
