What music are you currently addicted to.

just outta of curiosity is then any members under 20 that like anything beside's rap ( nothing personal i just grew outta that stuff years ago ) it just seems like all the under 20 guys/gals all listen to rap maybe a little society effecting choice going on here. just thoughts

It is quite normal. Popular music goes around pretty much only hip hop/rap/pop rock at this age range. Many other say they listen to "everything" but this often reflects a small knowledge of music and their own taste (no offense).

Back to your question. i'm 21 and since i'm about... 15 i've been listening to a lot of jazz music, classical, progressive rock and metal music. I do love metal but i am quite selective, i find most metal bands quite horrible.

^^^ why would i be offended?? i know this, it's why i was asking:biggrin:. But society changes it's ways every few years and i thought it was the "elmo" emo what every you want to call them kids.

I thought it was maybe a little different then when i grew up. but it seems that your right it's still rap/rock/hiphop thing but time will fix that.:haha::biggrin::thumb:

No offense to you, but to all the people saying they "like everything".

Time won't fix it, unfortunately. Unless we find a way to destroy MTV's headquarters, people will always like the same kind of music, no matter how "different" their favorite genre is to others.

I'm enjoying Usher, Jason Derulo, Nickelback, Rihanna, Kesha, Adam Lambert, Black Eyed Peas, Kevin Rudolf, Eminem & Katy Perry atm... just to name a few :haha:

Instrumental.

PURE music.
That's a broad description? :)

I like Instrumental, too... I guess my taste is weird... I'm not a fan of rap/hip hop and don't mind saying so.

Some of you guys list some good bands but I despise 'popular music' but mostly, I try to consider music song by song rather than 'genres.' I like a lot of different music and will listen to whatever I'm in the mood for.

I mostly listen to rock and metal as well as some jazz and punk. I like rap and dance type music too.
Tool, Devin Townsend, Protest the Hero, Opeth, and older Dream Theater are some of my favorites.

Listen to Sade by any chance? I bought her latest release but lost it on my way home. Never got a chance to play it
Nope. Listened to some of her stuff off youtube just now, it's alright, just a bit too slow.

I just heard a cover to Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" by a fellow by Ramzi, and i must say i love it.
