What music subscription service are you using?

Spotify is really starting to get in on my nerves. Over the last couple weeks offline mode works for about 2-3 days now instead of 30.

Guess I need to start looking for an alternative, again. :(
Figured out the issue here. Everytime I use Audible and try to use Spotify afterward, it will not work until I go online. No fix for it tho.

So I decide to try out Amazon Unlimited. IIRC I tried it earlier but get like 3 months free trial or something. But after 2 days I'm not sure I can take it anymore. Sound quality is absolutely better BUT the Android app is just straight garbage for me. Every single time I open the app up on mobile I'm greated with this. I don't want to download on mobile data.

Another frustrating issue is similar to other apps I've used. I'm listening in the vehicle. Arrive at destination and turn off vehicle. Go do my work. Come back 5 minutes later.. Playlist didn't resume. Go to Amazon app and once again greated with the above, no playlist playing.

Also the UI is just not good IMO.

EDIT: Think I figured out the problem with the download warning. The app is too dumb to realize a song isn't in their catalogue and it continually tries to download it....

Also neither the desktop nor mobile app resume where you last played if the app gets closed.

Yeah, resume isn't a feature that appears to work well on Amazon Music. It especially doesn't work at all using AA Phone.

Not sure what to say about the data.... I leave mine enabled for streaming unsaved playlists.

So it's not just me? I wrote it off as possibly being a placebo effect, but I found the Amazon tracks to sound much "clearer" which leads me to believe that Spotify is compressing their audio files.

Still coming across a few irregularities from the shift... latest was discovering a "weird" seemingly instrumental version of Money for Nothing in my (transferred from Spotify) Gen Mix playlist..... I suspect the transfer software grabbed a karaoke version. :)

Trying Tidal again. I just can't take how unreliable Spotify is for me on Android. For the past week I didn't even bother listening to music when I was driving. Opting for silence than having to deal w/ Spotify. And I drive a lot.

Spotify is still it for me atm.
SiriusXM keeps calling me and they just cant believe I dont want it last pitch was 5$ a month for 24months.
the price creep really turned me off them forever though.
If they never slowly jacked the price up from 3$ a month to 27$ id have probably never cared but when you get a 350$ bill for a year randomly alarm bells go off.

yup that's why the wife stopped using SiriusXM, now she uses Spotify and if I listen to music it's in my music folder since I listen to stuff that is not the easiest to find something. IE industrial/futurepop/dubstep/gothic kinda stuff lol

the best for me use to be an online radio show that is no longer around called "The ungodly hour" damn do I miss that

Honestly I have had both .. Spotify is at-least reliable Sometimes i get sent into badlands like Jasper and everything cuts out there even the AM and FM sometimes.
I can download a whole playlist first. i can download and Cue a whole 2-3hr podcast. last few trips i never noticed any outages going through the pass.
I'm not even trying to talk down Sirius XM but I couldn't even keep it going in my jeep in a campground with a couple trees when we were hanging out at the camp fire.

Best bet is sub Spotify and download a few playlists into your phone. You can get 4tb Sd cards now for those phones that still accept them.

strange never had an issue with it. if I leave my truck and get back in it starts back where it was. I'm always streaming though. I don't download files and save them

Well done with Tidal. My experience w/ mobile is ok. But it just buffers ALL the time on PC for some reason. Started listening 30 min ago and it has done it probably 15 times. And I don't like how you can't download the music, which would remedy this.

So trying out Qobuz. More expensive, $13/month or $130/year. So far I've only used the desktop app. Quality is great. And it actually caches downloads up to 100GB.

Sigh, today get an email from Tidal where they state as of July 7th, the Samsung TV app will no longer work. WHY? This is my primary way of listening to music at home. :(
