What music subscription service are you using?

I'm surprised there were any working/useful apps on the Samsung OS in the first place. I will admit my exposure is for a very early version, but it's always struck me as barebones, and a textbook example of proprietary.

Move to the latest firestick version maybe?

I have 2 Fire TV 4K Max sticks, tbh I'm a big of them. Really hope Nvidia release a new Shield soon that isn't using an SOC from 2015.

Seems there is a way to get Tidal to work on Pi. Will probably just go that route.

Tidal, Why do you make it so hard to play music over hifi / home theatre?

You've removed your app from Samsung and Roku TVs & streamers. LG still supports them, but as my LG TVs are OLEDs I'd rather not leave them on to listen to music. Plus the app sucks. It randomly just stops at the end of a track and I need to intervene.

My 10 year old AVR can play Spotify natively. My 5 year old AVR can play almost everything except Tidal. Only my modern one can play Tidal 'natively'.

Pretty much nothing supports Tidal Connect (like Spotify Connect) unless you shell out big bucks.

No service. A lot of vinyl that I digitized years ago and put on CD. A lot of purchased CDs. A lot of mixed music CDs created from individual songs from vinyl or CDs I ripped. Hate advertising, so I never listen to radio or online radio unless there's a power outage. I'll may try listening to short wave again once winter hits.

Got the notification today on my phone that lossless was available on Spotify. Guess it's finally reached Canada now?

Still not really happy with the $21/month family pricing though, but at least the quality is better now.

Same same. Lossless was a great bonus to have added.

We love the family plan. We were going to buy my oldest (7) an MP3 player for Christmas last year since he's really in to music. But we ended up locking down my old Pixel 5 to Spotify only on his account, and we set up a spotify kids account in our family plan. The ability to curate his music to playlists I make for him is great.
