Wish me luck! Half the price compared to buying retail, obviously it's an OEM CPU, but figure it will suffice as a temporary chip till a 9800X3D is available at MSRP or perhaps the 9950X3D. Though it will be hard to know if all my other parts sitting here work, or if the CPU is faulty :ROFLMAO:

I'll put this chip into my home server later in the year if all goes well.

Alright, this arrived today. OEM tray in a black box, looked clean and unused. Similar to what you'd get inside a retail CPU box above the heatsink.

Quickly plugged into X870E-E, stock RAM timings, did nothing in the BIOS, installed Windows and ran CPU-Z + Cinebench R23. Looks all operational? Scores maybe a bit on the low side, but I threw on the cheapest AMD stock heatsink (all aluminum, low-ish profile). I think it's from a 3600.

So I'll consider this a "win" for $240 CAD compared to $500 to buy it new here in Canada after HST. But raises the question, why can't we get similar pricing here?

I hope they don't ship mine too fast. I'm having a bit of buyers remorse lol I've wanted one since I first watched reviews on them, but with my 4080 playing at 4k, I don't think I'll see a huge difference.

Plus, my computer is running great right now, not sure I want to mess with it.

Now that I’ve played with it for a couple hours. The regrets are gone.

I've been debating the last couple-ish years on upgrading my tv (LG b7). I've order replacements now a couple times and then canceled the order. Now that yellows in the center are coming out green, it's time. It's hard though, cause I've loved this tv since the day I got it, it's the first tv I've ever had that I couldn't see any flaws.

Anyways, debating on the Sony Bravia 7 and the Hisense U8n, both 65" ... so many choices on the market.

Not a fan of Sharp or Hisense, Sharp died in about a year, and 14-16 months out of both Hisense.

Not sure if it still that way, but Hisense owns Sharp.

Junk imo.
