funny you say irregular, cause my in-laws place was built in 1911 or 1914...two documents contradict each other...and has survived many an earthquake. this house is now so far off from square it's hilarious!

We too had that joy a few years back, a few days before we were headed on a two week trip and my niece was going to housesit! Thankfully my brother-in-law could help me and we got it replaced by the day before we left.

yep, we had that happen December 2024. it was 10PM and all of a sudden I heard rushing water, open my door, which is right next to the HWT and thar she blew! NOBODY had any hot water tanks in town and then the one we got was rusted. warranty replacement had to ship from Montreal and we're in Prince Rupert. we were without hot water for closed to 3 weeks because when it blew was the holiday weekend and it was a Friday, so couldn't call anyone until Tuesday. fortunately one of our neighbours used to be a plumber in his previous life so he came over and put some shut off valves so we could bypass and at least have cold water...and DAMN, being winter it was COLD!!!

it was 8 years old.

I picked up a box last week. First 'case' or box of sugared pop I've bought for myself in... 20 years maybe?

It's decent, seems pretty similar to Jones root beer from what I remember. I've had couple but don't quite like it enough that I want the calories unless it's 1x month or so.
