Where would you buy your TV from?

I am thinking of buying a TV, 85U78N. Living in MB as I do I have three options, Visions, The Brick and Costco. Of those three which one would you suggest? The Brick is local and the other two are an hour away FYI.

Thank you

Costco and it's not even close IMO. I think lowfat had a good experience with Visions lately, but generally if price isn't a massive difference it's hard to argue against the cost and ease of Costco's extended warranty (whereas you'll be lucky if the brick ever honored it even if it died the first day)

If it helps, I bought 3 TVs from Visions on Regent that died within 3 years of purchase.

Could be just a coinkydink.

Edit:

Bought 2 from The brick across the street that lived for more than a decade..

Getting a Costco membership for $65 to get 1 extra year of warranty is likely cheaper than what you'd pay at the Brick/Visions for the same. However if you are never going to go to Costco again, I suspect you'd need to renew your membership for the 2nd year too to be able to get the extra warranty? So really it's $130 then?

Flipside, Brick/Visions likely has some wiggle room to get the price lower too. They generally are able to discount the extended warranty as well.

The TV I am using right now I bought from Walmart lol. I had a schwack of points, so I used em on a 50 inch LG that I use as a computer monitor.

I like it.

Costco hands down for the extra warranty if it was me…but I have a membership. I would still say it’s probably worth it for you, but I will let you make that call.

If it was an expensive tv then I'd say Visions and purchase the extended warranty. If it was just an LCD tv then I probably wouldn't bother with extra warranty.
