Greetings all. I'm asking for guidance on these two RAM kits and which would be best for my application for a new build.i7 12700KF with an Asrock Z790 Steel Legend motherboard. Perhaps someone can explain which would be best for stability, overclocking, futureproofing etc. The RAM kits in question are both Team T Force and they are both DDR5 6000. Budget pricing but getting good reviews. Price difference between the 2 kits is only $13. The first kit for $135 has timings of 30-36-36-76 @ 1.35V. The second kit for $148 has timings of 38-38-38-78 @ 1.25V. Thanks in advance.

I agree with moocow. Not a guarantee, but typically if you see matched timings on ddr5 it is more likely samsung chips, which don't OC as high as hynix chips.

If it doesn't have to be one of those 2, there may be other good options. The second kit is getting a bit pricy for 6000 based on current pricing. If I was spending as much as the second kit, I would go a few more $ and get this 7000 kit for $155:

More realistically I would go for something like this 6400 kit for $115:

Lots of other good choices as well though.

I've been hearing of instances where higher speed kits are not playing nice with the 12700 but are just fine with the 13700 and up. This is why I'm sticking with a slower speed and hopefully have a kit that will overclock a bit when I upgrade down the road. I'ts a low budget build with most of my parts bought on sale, open box or sometimes even both at the same time.

Got it resolved. I found a post on an overclocking forum. Poster was testing Corsair Dominator Platinum 6200 CL36 with a 12700K and a Z790 chipset motherboard. No issues and was able to push the ram speed to 6800 before it became unstable. Corsair Dominator is well known for their overclocking capability.Paid $146 tax included. Thanks for the suggestions.
