The next round of leveraging Noctua's brand image to target silence and a specific niche. 1600W, Titanium rated, ATX 3.1, Noctua A12X25...all of those words mean high $ to me!

I mean I like it, like both those brands, but you can't even see the power supply in my case so the colour aspect of the branding would be lost.

"Yeah but I can I get it in black??" :)

But 1600W... wowy

Those colors are their brand image so you know it's a Noctua product. 1600W is a lot especially considering I'm on 15A circuit which at max can only handle 1800W unless I have a dedicated line (thicker gauge) with a 20A circuit breaker.

I always actually liked the noctua colors, wasn't one of the people asking for black variants... I'd buy color matched filaments for the 3d printer if I could find some at a reasonable price for a couple projects.

Edit: Their staff's communication is amazing by the way. Asked them for some measurements... they sent me schematics with the missing measurements for what I was asking about.

Yeah I mean why not just use the fan + grill in their normal lineup, why purposefully make it in these colours...
Yes as @moocow said I'd say they want these colours to show they are part of the partnership. My quoted comment was that will be the next question from a lot of people... who don't like the colour.

Against black, the colour scheme doesn't look bad. Has an oddly 'Star Wars' feel to it. It would be good for a Steam Punk build if the colour mattered on a PSU you can't see. More importantly, the cabling appears to be entirely individually sleeved in brown and black. That will be a divisive choice. And at the listed nearly $1000 CAD.. oof. You REALLY need to want this one.

*edit* Would look good in a black build with wood accents. In a FD North case or something similar.

As for the 1600w total, We're starting to get to that range being normal. The 5090 is listed at 600w with spikes going above that, CPU's can hit 250w+, etc, etc... Throw in several drives, expansion cards and what-not... suddenly a quality, 1600w PSU doesn't seem crazy. Even if it DOES cost as much as a budget gaming rig.
