Windows 11 "self healing" recovery mode

Why did it take so long for them to bring something like this to the OS? Recovery mode has never done anything for me, but at least something like this should be able to "call home" when there's a large scale update failure.
 
Not sure what the difference is, but I have used win 10 recovery to fix several of my family's PCs that wouldn't boot. I think we have all seen the Windows 10 recovery mode, which gives you options like "startup repair".
 
So the POSes that Gates left in charge will further ruin Windows by allowing M$ to force software onto our PCs even if there's no working OS?

Yeah... no. The second SteamOS works mainstream, Windows is dead. No more sudden, unexplained buttons appearing and defaults changed by them.
 
Hmm so basically they've just added some network drivers to the WinRE image then. I wonder if it's intelligent enough to only include the ones that your system needs, or if they are going to end up with a bloated image full of every possible network driver? There's a lot of WiFi adapters to cover too...

Seems like it might have limited use though if it's only for issues that MS deems as widespread failure.
