Windows 12 will become a cloud pc?

Yeah, but how would you feed your hardware buying/selling addiction with a Mac?? ;)

(...ahem... and feed the BST thread for the rest of us...)

Seriously though, I think you and @LaughingCrow would find things you didn't like in Apple-land too. I certainly do.
Honestly it's a main selling point for me. I guess I'd just serve the mac used market at that point. lol

A Mac computer is a potential alternative for me the closer we get to MS shutting down Win 10. The more I see MS mess up Win 11, plus the trickle down to my Win 10 computers, the more I'm leaning towards a Mac. Also not comfortable with the Activision/Blizzard acquisition.

Sadly, the big tech corps all have deep pockets & are getting greedier, which is why I'll keep one Linux computer.

Covid busted & changed a lot things.
we've got 2 more years with Win 10...it goes EoL on October 25th, 2025.

I'm somewhat aware of Apple-land problems. One brother is a long time Mac user. I have an iPod Touch. Right now a Mac is the potential lesser of 2 evils. As noted, I don't need to make the decision until the Win 10 EOL. My gaming & computer needs are fairly low these days which matches my budget.

My 2 Win 10 computers are older ones that won't upgrade to Win 11. So I have to decide - if and WHEN to build a new Windows PC. Whatever happens, I'll be keeping one Win 10 computer offline for all the programs that I currently use that may not migrate to a Mac or Win 11-12. Keeping one computer for Linux Mint.

FWIW, I haven't have any big issues with Windows 11. It's been fine for me, some UI tweaks aside, and added some features I do like (better HDR support for example).

Although Linux gaming support is improving, if I continue to be a PC gamer on my main PC, I'll be using some flavour of Windows as long as it remains the dominant PC gaming OS.

the biggest issue with the new Mac silicon is when it goes EoL (currently that's 6 years from release date), it's dead in the water. unlike Mac's with Intel chips, you can't re-task them. at least, not currently because no other OS works on their proprietary silicon. hopefully that will change, but with Apple's tight fisted nature, HAH!
