Are you running Steam Beta Mode? If so, there are a TON of reports of it causing BSODs as of their new beta rollout last night. Start the computer, Open Steam, unsubscribe from the Beta program and it will download the standard Steam version.

This fixed my sudden crop of BSODs this morning.

I'm running 64 bit windows 8.1 and yes I have steam beta mode I will disable it for now and see if it happens again. I also setup a driver check to see if thats a problem.
