Would eBay QDCs work for watercooling?

I know from use on tractors that these hydraulic quick connects leak like hell when you disconnect them.

Their posting claim that they support poppet valves which reduce the leaking. Is it worth it to give these a shot or should I just stick to koolance QDCs?

you could give them a shot i'd think for a few bucks why not. I'd for sure test them on a loop that doesn't contain hardware though lol

Braineater knows more about these things than anyone else I know... These sorts of fittings are meant to be installed to high pressure hoses with a hydraulic press I believe. They are not really for water cooling. Really not meant for the home user... these are meant for a shop that makes hydraulic hoses for equipment that requires high pressure lines.

Water cooling is anything but high pressure.
