Assuming you got to build with 140mm fans/rads (max 50mm thick), and were trying to optimize noise, just curious what peoples would pick.

Budget? clshades recommendation is going to be one of the best bang for buck if you don’t want to spend a small fortune

ToughFan 14 would be my pick as that's what I'm running currently. They have the "Pro" model too which performs a bit better and is more square (less leakage on a radiator), or there's a RGB flavour too. They rival Noctua and I find they run pretty smooth & quiet while being a bit more affordable.

Radiator wise, I think the EK-Quantum Surface line is the best performing currently, the "S" model being the 30mm option. If you are looking for rad+fan at under 50mm though, then that's 5mm over...

performance is whatever between rads. I personally like the heatkiller line up for performance/aesthetics. For fans eloops but they are a pain to get here.

I had someone else mention the Artic fans (as a great budget but still kick-ass fan). For the daisy chaining, I wonder if you can still individually control the speeds or do they all change at the same rate - depending on the input)?

@JD The Toughfan line right now is sitting at the top of my list, and as for radiators, I have used EK exclusively, for this build really considering branching out, with the Hardware Labs GTS also being (currently) at the top of my list.

I noticed that on a lot of the review sites, Heatkiller rads aren't showing up, but it may simply be 'cause the review sites are looking at NA products (as in no EK rads showed up on this review either). And yea, they do look really nice, and considering the case I want to put this in, aesthetics is gonna be important.

Yeh they all spin up at the same rate if plugged into a single fan header or fan controller.
