Only thing I can see is that your timings are pretty loose in comparison to mine and lowfat's. Are those the timings the calculator spat out for you?

No, unfortunately the timings in the calculator did not work for me. Those timings are tweaked XMP settings.

Hopefully I'll have better luck with the XMP D50 kit I've got coming in.

That said... 20GB/s seems like an awfully high difference.

Just started the initial run on the XPG D50s with the default XMP (3600 / CL18) , and it's already reporting back a read speed of 40+ GB/s which is a significant improvement over the single rank balistix I returned (as well as the GSkill 2X8 SR I've been running).

It's interesting how this board/platform reacts to overly aggressive mem timings. The first obvious indication of instability on timings that will boot into windows is degraded audio output.

edit: Without digging deeper and attempting to tweak individual settings from the dram calculator settings it's stable @ 3600 cl16 "safe" settings, but not the "fast" settings.
