Just started the initial run on the XPG D50s with the default XMP (3600 / CL18) , and it's already reporting back a read speed of 40+ GB/s which is a significant improvement over the single rank balistix I returned (as well as the GSkill 2X8 SR I've been running).
That's the new set of D50s on a gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 @ CAS 18 / 3600 (not having any luck at all bumping up from XMP)
That's a different set of D50s on a B550 Tomahawk @ CAS 16 / 3600.
Relatively large difference in Read speed (considering the faster is CAS 18 vice 16) but what really stands out to me is the fact that the first on is close to synchronous between read and write, while the write speed on the second is majorly gimped.
Could there be that big of a difference in memory throughput between B550 / X470, or even between the 3700X and 3900XT?
Aside from that, I guess I really have to get a second look at the memory settings on the B550 board.
