Both ASRock and Asus confirmed their 800 series (don't know if all of them) will support Zen6. Looking forward to people letting their 9800X3D go for cheap on BST.

Rumor is that the 600 series would also support Zen6. Boards with both 32MB and 64MB BIOS would work. But this is just a rumor and not confirmed yet.

That would make the most sense, as physically the 600 and 800 series boards are the same silicon for chipsets...its just different standards enforced for board IO/features.

This is what I've been hoping. The 7800x3d to 9800x3d bump wasn't enough to justify the cost (for me), but if the 10800x3D (or whatever they choose to call it) has about an equivalent generational bump, I'll likely pull the pin and make the upgrade. With GPU prices as ridiculous as they are, I can't see me upgrading my 4090 without a GPU market collapse, so this will be the first GPU in ages where I don't replace it in a generation or two.

Think I went Red 4890 > 5870 > then Green 780 > Titan > 1080 Ti > 2080 Ti and then the 4090. The price scaling from the 1080Ti onwards has been ludicrous.
