A different kind of fire since it's not a melting 12 pin high power. The card literally caught fire near the PCI-E slot so it looks like component failure instead of unbalance power. At least he got a super immersive experience in BF6 as the card burned during gaming. Screenshot from Videocardz article.

Interesting. Checked the source's photos closely and it isnt even the PCIe slot. It looks like a choke or VRM at the bottom edge of the card. Or maybe it was contacting that large heatsink/shroud from the motherboard? NZXT branded mobo, I'm not familiar with it. Hopefully just a fluke, but the proximity of that white motherboard part to the GPU component that burned is a lil sus.

Kind of reminds me of the fallout of an antec PSU i had that blew a cap and threw flames out the back of the tower. Burnt the wall etc. Apartment smelt like burning for days.

I popped an Antec too, but not like that.. it literally made a pop sound, and I lost one of the two 12v rails.

Banned.

Ha! Amateurs! (Jk)
Ive had three PSUs blow up in my face, one in my hand. Never quite as dramatic as flames, but absolute smoke screen makers all. Ironically, 2 out of three PSUs were from brands named for animals. A Shark and a Tiger -brand PSUs. None were mine, but at places I was in IT at. Regardless, never bought those brands afterwards, and glad for it 🤣
