Just listen to them. While I do believe some physical burn in does exist in headphones, I think it is mostly your ears adjusting to their sound signature. Just enjoy them and over time they should sound better, whether it be the drivers loosening up or just your ears becoming seasoned. No need to use test tracks or extreme volumes

Thanks , (Quyanaq ) Jake . These cans sound really good as new , I guess burning in states listening ( or ) playing the cans in for many hours will loosen up the speakers ? I,m happy with these head phones , I recieved these as a gift from a friend in Ontario .

If the headphones were a gift, and your friend used them for a while, they have "burned in" already. New speakers, including headphone speakers, always sound better after a few weeks of use.

My ATH they say take 40 hrs. burn in while listening.

Slik u use your tiamats in ts3? Get nothing but complaints about mine also have the pheobus sound card. Regarding the mic.

I use my Tiamat's for everything, and have no issues at all. What issues are you having?

Gifts can be new you know
and not necessarily, burn-ins are not noticeable on many headphones and are purely placebo

Tiamat mic is noisy and picks up quite a bit of background

I know that gifts can be new. That's why I said "and" your friend used them etc. Perhaps burn in may not be noticeable in ALL headphones, but I sure noticed it with my Tiamats. I have no issues with the mic. either. I think the problems people had, were related to drivers and the USB power connection on many motherboards. Mine included. If a USB hub is used to power the Tiamats, the noise etc. is gone. I use USB 3 to power my set, loaded the latest drivers, and have not had ANY issues at all. Speaker burn in,is not a placebo effect Jackquelegs. Speaker burn in is a fact. Trust me. I've owned, and still own, enough headphones to have made that determination. I'm no audio expert or engineer, but I know what I hear.
