The little pump that could ... has died

Nah replaced mine years ago with a newer one. For the OP, I'd just get a new D5 pump, they are the workhorses of the pump world!

3D Printer / CNC discussion thread

Yup I looked and didnt really see what I was after. Anyway I finally went to the office and test fit my prototype, and it fit like a glove. So printing 3 good quality versions now to send onsite and install! Definitely a handy tool to have!

3D Printer / CNC discussion thread

I just picked up a Anycubic Vyper over the weekend. Never tried CAD or design or anything so I'm totally a n00b, but I did the TinkerCAD tutorials and it's actually pretty darn simple. So far I'm impressed with how simple/good the prints have been! 1st job is a Under-desk mount for a...

Which NAS hard drives do you use and trust?

For my clients, I usually go all Exos. They tend to be the best price too from one of our distributors, usually cheaper than Ironwolf/reds/golds etc.

    Canadian RMA Experience

And more fun with Corsair. Got another defective LPX kit, started an RMA with Corsair. Uploaded the invoice and pics of the SN etc, then when the RMA email came in with the support ticket etc, they asked for the Invoice and Pics of the SN... so I sent them again. Then, no responses other than...

    Whats your latest purchase?

Hehe, cool! Reminds me of being a kid back home. We grew up with a big empty field in the back yard, and a lake out front so lots of launches out in the middle of the lake. I got tired of buying the rockets kits so one day I found out the plastic tubing from an old kids hockey net fit the rocket...

Ouu very nice. I run a Quatix 5 Sapphire, love it to bits. The new Fenix 7 Sapphire Titanium has me intrigued but I think I can last another generation or 2 for that $$ lol. The Epix 2 looks wicked!

Quick check: Does my NAS setup make sense?

Ou ouch ya, that's no fun :( @ sbug206, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you can still set up SHR regardless of drive QTY. With 2 drives it will just "act" like RAID1. With 3 drives, it "acts" like RAID5. It's more about how much drive reduncany you set up, not the exact RAID type. Link...

Quick check: Does my NAS setup make sense?

SHR expansion is really simple and doesnt cause downtime, so I'm not sure why people are complaining about it above. I've had a ton of success with Synology, the DSM is simple to use and lots of packages. Their Atom based machines 5 or 6 years ago were prone to failure however their warranty has...
