Have you checked your GPU usage while gaming? If you have EVGA Precision installed you can use the in-game overlay to get an idea. I'm assuming your i5 is overclocked?- Groove

Sorry Wilson, I missed the phone app comment. Like I said for the minix remote, it works well, no issues after a year of use. It has good range as well. The keyboard is a little awkward to use because of the way the remote needs to be held but not really an issue for quick searches, etc. One...- Groove

I have one, it works well, been using it for a little over a year now and no issues. It's an air mouse as well, not sure if it works with all OS, I have mine paired with a Minix Android box.- Groove

Drivers | GeForce That is where you want to get your drivers. The ones you can get from the card manufacturers are outdated most of the time. Uninstall whatever you installed from Zotac, you can use Display Driver Uninstaller as well and then proceed with the a clean install of the NVidia ones.- Groove

Basically if you don't care about the M.2 form factor, a standard ssd is fine. Like I said it's basically the same drive beside the form factor/interface plus it should be a bit cheaper. I think one of the cool thing with M.2 drives though is that you don't need any cables! -

Actually you might want to double check the compatibility for M.2 devices on your board. If you are using the Z97-A listed in your sig I think that board only support PCIe based SSDs (aka NVMe) and do not support SATA-based SSDs. You should confirm this before ordering it. Worse case, just go... -

Beside what you listed I don't think I've seen anything else regarding Optane. I find the lack of information around it a little weird. I feel like it's been hyped more from the mobo manufacturers than by Intel itself. Based on what lowfat said I'm not even sure why it's on the consumer level... -

Well, going from an HDD to an SSD based drive is a HUGE step up and you will immediately notice the difference. SSDs are fairly cheap now and are for the most part extremely reliable, so I'd say it's a pretty good time to ditch mechanical HDDs. Regarding Raid 0, most people will opt for that... -

PC will randomly 'mostly' freeze on black screen while gaming.
