discussion SSD question(SOLVED) thanks GROOVE

upon further research both motherboard and the internal ssd comply with 2280 standard ,but I'm going external so I can transfer it around

Basically if you don't care about the M.2 form factor, a standard ssd is fine. Like I said it's basically the same drive beside the form factor/interface plus it should be a bit cheaper. I think one of the cool thing with M.2 drives though is that you don't need any cables!

The thing about the M.2 ones that I still find confusing is the key form factor. Anyway, agreed with Groove. Always nice to get reports on upgrade results!
