I'm gonna guess you don't game much anymore? or do you game via the Linux machine? Mac is a lot better with game compatibility then it has ever been, but it's still got a looong way to go. source - you have to filter games by Mac OS to see which ones are available to play ;) -

I know. what I'm saying is that letting Windows manage it is a slow ass process. it loads them all in a single threaded manner, so one by one....but if I manually tell some of the start up apps to load before Windows gets there, the PC is ready to rock and roll sooner than if I leave it be... -

I've never had to use Apple support while I had iPad's and iPhone's...but, being I work for a company that is an authorized service center for Lenovo products, I've never had issues with support for anything. -

yep, we had that happen December 2024. it was 10PM and all of a sudden I heard rushing water, open my door, which is right next to the HWT and thar she blew! NOBODY had any hot water tanks in town and then the one we got was rusted. warranty replacement had to ship from Montreal and we're in... -

Windows Start Up is dumb! it loads everything one by one, so it's slower than it would be if it used any of my 32 threads my 13900K has. if I launch several programs manually, it finishes so much faster. :P -

don't use anything scented here due to our son-in-law's MCSS (multiple chemical sensitivity syndrome) so that's a no-go. we'll probably soak it in a high concentration mix of vinegar / water for a while. eucalyptus based cleaning agents do a wonderful job as well, but my wife dislikes that... -

holy 5h!7 batman! I got my surplus stuff for my bushcraft camp kit and the plastic / rubber / vinyl surplus haversack smells BAAAD! so bad it tainted everything else in the bag and they were all in their own plastic packaging. man alive...
