Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Thank you very much. I'm getting very excited now as I can see the final product in my mind better now. Dude, your build is incredible. I love the way you relocated the 5.25" bays and made that massive fan tunnel in the front. It is a truly unique design. :punk:

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Might have to wait a bit, got a full Saturday planned. Sunday, I'm hoping to have the back brace done and take the case home and make and hook up 4 custom cables that will allow me to control the basic functions. Then I can tear down Muzzle Flash II and move the other components over to this...

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Yeah, there is a slight green look to tempered glass. You can get optically clear stuff, but that doubles the price, which is already insane on this job. But yeah, you really can't tell there is glass in there from certain angles. The vertical brace is off. That is the messed up one...

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

I couldn't wait. :haha: I had to pop-rivet the lower brace in and I'm using the first back brace (which I redid and waiting for it to dry) and put BOTH glass panels on, as well as just set the acrylic parts in (the mid and back plate as well as the "dog house") place. So this should be the...

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Minor progress today. I got the last coat of paint on the two side panel brackets on, and now just going to let it dry until maybe Sunday, just to be sure. Also the second piece of glass was delivered today. Now I have glass for the top and side. Can't wait for the brackets to dry, then I...

    380T & 980 G1 :P

Nice build. I honestly haven't seen that case before, but I'm definitely digging it. :thumb:

Well, the credit card is screaming now. He went for the dual Intel Xeon 8 core system. A couple tweaks here and there, but now that all the parts are on order, hopefully I'll start getting parts inside of a week and start the actual build. :punk:

AMD Launches the A8-7670K APU - Comment Thread

I have an A10-7700K in my HTPC build now and I was coming here to ask how that stacks up to the new A8-7670K. Tried looking for some benchmarks but couldn't see any.

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Not sure. Something like that was actually my backup plan in case the joint on the "dog house" didn't work out. Who knows, maybe I will still do something like that, if the case looks too white inside.

Work in progress Project Neu Heights

Yeah, I started down that route for him, but I for what Dell puts out (the T7500 isn't available anymore), I really can't hand pick the best components, and what they offer is between $750 to $1500 more expensive. A Dell 5810 Workstation system decked out with a 27" 4K monitor, 32GB memory, and...

    6700k worth the wait

I think the Skylakes will be a good upgrade from the old 2500K's. If anything, just the native support for USB3.0, PCIe 3.0, not to mention any added performance (and especially running cooler).

Work in progress Project Neu Heights

This computer system will be a starter rendering station of a friend of mine who is starting an aerial photography company, Neu Heights Aerial Imaging, using his drone, a DJI Inspire 1. Since the drone is a professional grade one that shoots amazing 4K video he is looking for something a little...

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Oh felgercarb! I just went to put a second coat on the brace and the spray can sputtered in mid stroke and totally goofed up the first layer of paint. Now I got to wait for it to dry, sand it smooth, and start all over on that side. Some days I can't win. I really need to learn how to use a...

    Now in Oz

Excellent. I've traveled a bit, in 45 of the 50 US states, Pueto Rico, many parts of Canada and Mexico, Bermuda, and Jakarta Indonesia ... but I've always wanted to see Australia. Is it just a short term gig or are you considering relocating there?

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

No, I just used bolts to make sure it fit together and held the glass. I then unbolted everything and they are in paint. Once the paint is done, then I will put pop-rivets on the bottom 'L' bracket only. The back will be held on by 2 screws (since there is no weight to hold securely) to allow...

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Yeah, but after looking at the photo, I might have to go to Lowes again and make another back brace. This one works, but my anal nature is kicking in once again and the more I look at how I did the joint where the back and bottom meet, the gap is too large when the glass is installed. I didn't...

Work in progress Muzzle Flash III: White Death

Actually, I think it is more like Aston Martin ... since for awhile, Ford owned them, and still has a share in them. Or a side note, I finally did a little rigging on the interior of the car. I need a GPS for work (and personal travel) and although this car didn't have one, I pulled out my...
