    BF2 did have unlocks...and it did give you marginally better/more situational weapons. In order to unlock flares you only really need 300 points, which is essentially 1 kill, or a couple of damaged vehicles. After a few hours with the jet, the main weapon for air-air combat is still the 20mm...

    I miss the fact that in BF2 you couldn't just point --> spray + pray --> score a kill. It actually required trigger discipline unlike BF3 where it's ADS --> near 100% accuracy :doh:

    Well, the DX for one has much better channel separation than onboard. So that'll help you hear some footsteps given that the headphones are capable enough. I'd say the DX is totally a worthy investment, but if you're not set on spending that much the xonar DG is a good entry point.
