This is what I get when I try to startup my 5870 card.

# Windows GPU Console Edition #################################################
###############################################################################...
I read through the FAQ on setting up multiple GPU but it doesn't seem to be working for me.
My situation is that I just got an Nvidia GT240 to use as a dedicated Physx card with my 5870. I am trying to see if I can get both cards folding. Anyone know if this can be done?
As a minimum, if I...
OK. Just got a new GT240 card to put in my main system as a dedicated Physx card for my 5870. Now I just gotta figure out how to get this folding along with my 5870. Got some FAQ's to read
Go go go... bananas :bananafunky:
They are on different machines so no interference. The Q6600 is on a Virtual Machine so I can't use a video card there. And I struggled for 2 hours trying to get SMP running on my Q9550 (the machine with the 5870) and finally gave up.
My lowly Q6600 and 5870 are truly humbled by some of the folding power I see here  They haven't seen this much continuous work since I have owned them. The Q6600 is hovering around 60C on the cores and the 5870 is at 62C. Still... it draws less than my pool pump...
On a positive note I...
Hi guys. I am a late comer to this. I saw the contest and made my way to this page. I used to fold years ago and decided to try again at least for this challenge particularly since I see HWC fighting hard for 3rd place. I just started up my Q6600@3.5GHz and my 5870 to help out.

I wonder if eyefinity adds any issues for this? I expect not. I just ordered a GT240 from the egg for $65 - $15 rebate so I will be trying this soon. I have a few physx games (mirrors edge, ut3, nfs shift, grid) so it will be interesting to try it out.
And the GT240 is 40nm and low power +...
OK. Pulled the trigger on this Newegg GT240. Will end up being $65 after tax, shipping, and rebate. A bit above budget but this is a brand new card and lower power than my alternatives.
Thanks guys.
Sorry. I should learn to read. I saw "texture units" = 32 and I should have read teh "shader processors" = 96. My bad.
I guess that the advantage of this over the 8800GTS would be lower power consumption and probably run cooler? I have a fairly large case (HAF922) but no point adding more power...
Thanks. This is only 32 shaders from what I am reading. The 8800GTS would be 128 shaders. I thought that I heard that you really need something like an 8800GT or 9600GT as entry level to make a difference in Physx.
Update: Picked up a new GT240 on a Newegg shellshocker for $65 - $15 rebate so I'm not looking anymore. Thanks for the help.
Thinking of trying to add a Physx card to my 5870 gaming machine. Seems like it can be done with hacked Nvidia drivers so I was thinking of giving it a shot. My budget...
Apparently HP technical support has an idiot on staff :haha: Their response to the question of whether a GTX 260 could fit on their (ASUS) IPIBL-LB motherboard was
"I am sorry to inform you it is not possible to use this graphics card on the motherboard of your computer. Since the north bridge...
