    They are on different machines so no interference. The Q6600 is on a Virtual Machine so I can't use a video card there. And I struggled for 2 hours trying to get SMP running on my Q9550 (the machine with the 5870) and finally gave up.

    Sorry. I should learn to read. I saw "texture units" = 32 and I should have read teh "shader processors" = 96. My bad. I guess that the advantage of this over the 8800GTS would be lower power consumption and probably run cooler? I have a fairly large case (HAF922) but no point adding more power...

    Thanks. This is only 32 shaders from what I am reading. The 8800GTS would be 128 shaders. I thought that I heard that you really need something like an 8800GT or 9600GT as entry level to make a difference in Physx.
