    I've heard horrible reviews on the 600p, well actually Intel SSD in general. I'd personally stick to a Samsung 960 EVO (They launch in 2 days) As for the adapter, I can't comment as I always use motherboards that have M.2 on them.

    Pretty much this^^ SATA M.2 makes no sense at all. Why even bother when you can just go with a 2.5" Sata SSD for cheaper and get exact same performance. PCIE M.2 is really the only way to go.

    My GTX 1080 struggles at 4K (3840x2160p @60Hz) on some games, so I'm sure a GTX 1060 is going to be hit and miss at 3440x1440p

    That monitor was just $1499.99 new over the BF/CM weekend. I'd personally wait till after XMAS and I bet it'll drop in price again. Aside from that, I don't know how well that res and a GTX1060 will perform though.
