    Switch routing Q.....

Specify IP's manually on the devices you are concerned about and reference the IP's not hostname when loading data. If you DO NOT specify an IP when the DHCP lease is released the leasing agent will assign its self some arbitrary IP like 169.254.x.x (depending on the drivers the leasing agent...

In order to run any fttn/dsl teksavvy product you will either have a phone line or a dryloop.

I think you might be mistaking FTTN with FTTH. All FTTN lines are the same as non-FTTN connection with the exception of where your highspeed is actually added to your line. Both CO (non-FTTN) and FTTN equipment can provide speeds in excess of 50Mbps when using vdsl2 and around 20Mbps when...

No "dryloop" needed? I assume you mean there is no charge for the dryloop line when your paying for a higher speed?

    Free Citrix XenServer

The way they wrote the blog post it made it seem they were going to have a licence per cpu as per "New Simplified Packaging and Pricing" [...] We’re also introducing annual pricing, giving customers more flexibility with their budgeting and buying decisions. Annual – $500 per socket (License...

*Help* Wireless router config for maximum coverage/strength

The best solution in terms of support would be to run Superior Essex Cat5e OSP (or similar). But, a Point-to-Point solution like the EnGenius client bridge could also work. However, I assume the office is fed of the homes power, maybe via a subpanel but a powerline Ethernet transceiver might...

    Windows Server 2012 and Email

It sounds like an imap proxy is what you need. Have your windows server pull all 4 emails via IMAP to itsself, then via IMAP you can connect to it locally. That way "read"/"delete"/"sent" status propagates to all clients. I have never used one but I'm sure there is many windows based ones, I...

is there an ISP list for high speed in BC

Resellers vs LEC isn't really an issue regarding customer service/billing/plans/support on the business end, but on the repair end. A reseller and LEC modem should preform the same in the same environment, but if there is an issue it is likely to be repaired quicker when you only require the...

is there an ISP list for high speed in BC

I don't see any plans on there website however they look to be a reseller. If physical quality of service, not QoS in respect to networking, is something you are worried about I would go with a "real" provider in your area.

    Fluctuating Internet Speed

I would suspect this is some QoS issue on the ISP side, can you verify the dBm coming from the dish? If you can verify a correlation between the speed you are receiving and your reception (dBM) then there would be some cause for concern, but it looks like you always return to similar speeds so...

    Fibre optic availablity in Ontario

This is not the exact model we are using - but of the same family and comparable with the same CO equipment. And, we install a switch/router/access point into that - plugging directly into the ONT does not provide internet connectivity as the router provided by bell does the authentication...
